GreekPeaks was born from the meeting of two mountain enthusiasts who share the same vision of adventure: Dimitri Papageorges and Greek IFMGA mountain guide Babis Marinidis.

Although Dimitri had strong family roots in Greece and had spent years exploring the country, the idea of skiing there seemed almost unimaginable. Through Babis, he discovered a completely different side of Greece: remote mountain ranges, snow-covered peaks, authentic villages and a rich alpine culture hidden far beyond the country’s familiar seaside image.
What began as curiosity soon became a shared project. Together, they explored the mountains of Northern Greece and found something increasingly rare in modern mountain travel: untouched landscapes, genuine hospitality and the feeling of discovering places that remain largely unknown to the wider skiing world.

Today, GreekPeaks combines the complementary expertise of its two founders. Born in Litochoro, at the foot of Mount Olympus, Babis Marinidis is an IFMGA-certified mountain guide who divides his time between Greece and Chamonix. His deep local knowledge, technical expertise and passion for sharing his homeland bring authenticity to every journey.

Alongside him, Dimitri Papageorges brings more than 30 years of experience in communications, event management and mountain travel organization across Europe. A passionate ski tourer himself, he ensures that every trip combines seamless logistics with meaningful human experiences.

Together, they created GreekPeaks not as a traditional ski touring company, but as a gateway to a hidden side of Greece. Small groups, authentic encounters, exceptional skiing and deep cultural immersion are at the heart of every adventure.

Because GreekPeaks is about more than skiing. It is about discovering a different rhythm, a different atmosphere and a different way of experiencing the mountains.
